Threading and waxing both remove hair from the root, and both last roughly the same length of time. So why do we recommend one for your brows and the other for your legs? The difference comes down to precision, surface area and how much your skin is likely to object.
Threading uses a twisted cotton thread rolled across the skin, catching hairs and lifting them out in a line. Because the thread follows exactly where the technician guides it, a single row of hair can be removed without touching the row beside it. That control is why threading is the standard for brows. You can build a shape gradually and check it as you go, which is not really possible when a strip of wax removes everything it covers in one pull.
Threading is the better choice anywhere the shape matters more than the speed. Waxing wins anywhere the speed matters more than the shape.

Threading also touches the skin very little. Wax grips the top layer of skin as well as the hair, which is why it can leave the area pink for a while and why it is generally not advised for anyone using retinol, acid exfoliants or acne medication. Skin on those products lifts more easily than it should. Threading avoids that problem almost entirely, which makes it the safer option for the upper lip, chin and forehead if your skincare routine is active.
Waxing earns its place on the body. Removing hair from a full leg one row at a time would take an afternoon. Wax clears a large area in a single motion, which is faster, more comfortable overall and far more practical for arms, legs, underarms and body work. Regrowth comes back finer and softer than it does after shaving, because the hair returns with its natural tapered tip rather than a blunt cut end.

A few things help whichever you choose. Let the hair grow to roughly a quarter of an inch, since anything shorter is difficult to grip and the result will be patchy. Avoid heavy sun exposure immediately before and after. Skip the gym and hot showers for the rest of the day, because warm, damp skin and freshly opened follicles are a combination that leads to bumps. And book on a schedule rather than waiting until regrowth is obvious, since consistent removal keeps the cycle even.
Tell us before we start if you use retinol, are on acne medication, or have had a chemical peel recently. It changes what we recommend and how we work, and it is much easier to hear beforehand than afterwards.
Eyebrow threading is $10, upper lip $7, chin $12, and full face threading $40. On the waxing side, half arms are $20, half legs $25, full arms $30, full legs $45, Brazilian $55 and full body $120.
